Chandler’s 2018 testing gets off to impressive start
Chandler Cooper has been finding his rhythm as his 2018 training and testing schedule gets underway at home in Australia – and after an extensive three day test Chandler is coming to grips quite well with the new Yamaha R6.
The only modifications he has been running are suspension and exhaust, but in saying that Chandler has been able to do in excess of 200 laps over a three day period and has achieved personal best times at both local circuits.
“I was very happy with the progression of the Yamaha and the Dunlop tyres which are proving to be more impressive than I had expected. With the consistency in lap times I was able to achieve with in excess of 120 laps on each set, which was amazing.”
There are two more planned Australian practice days – with Phillip Island being one of them – before heading back to Barcelona on the 30th of January to commence his official testing on the new 2017 Yamaha R6 with Raül Jara and the team at PromoRacing.
