Valencia – final round report
Chandler Cooper arrived at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, for the final round of the 2018 FIM CEV Repsol championship with a high ambition to win the Superstock championship – having been lying in second place in the tables by 23.5 points; something which would require an awful lot to go in his favour.
Although this was not to be, it was nonetheless a great weekend for the Australian youngster who ended up finishing second overall in the championship – a result that made everyone happy – fans, family, and also the Promo Racing Team with whom he has signed to run the 2019 season with, on a full Moto2 ride.
It has been a really successful season, filled with promise and growth – and 2019 looks to continue in the same vein.
As Chandler returns to Australia to spend Christmas with his family and to set to work on his off-season training programme, he says a big thank you to all his supporters and sponsors.
